Worldwide Theological Education of Ordained Indigenous Pastors in Partner & Emerging Partner Churches

“Only when the hearts and minds of men have a common dogma can true unity be found.” — Martin Luther

Across the globe, thousands of faithful Lutheran pastors serve under difficult and often dangerous conditions — isolated, undertrained, and under-resourced. In partnership with LCMS World Missions and national church bodies, Luther Academy provides confessional theological education to ordained indigenous pastors in both partner and emerging partner churches.

Our Mission
To equip our brother pastors to stand firm in their confessional Lutheran identity, faithfully proclaim Christ in the midst of suffering, and grow in capacity as spiritual leaders — especially during times of great trial and opportunity.

The Reality They Face
• Limited or no access to formal theological education
• Geographic isolation from other clergy and resources
• Severe poverty and economic hardship
• Persecution from militant religious groups in hostile regions
• A deep hunger for faithful instruction rooted in Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions

What Luther Academy Provides
Luther Academy conferences are led by experienced Lutheran theologians and tailored to the specific needs of each region. These are not generic training sessions — they are deeply contextual, doctrinally rich, and pastorally practical.
Costs vary depending on local circumstances and the ability of pastors to contribute, but your support bridges that gap.

Why Your Support Matters
Your prayers and financial gifts make it possible to bring biblical, confessional, and life-giving teaching to pastors who would otherwise go without. When you support Luther Academy, you are strengthening the church where it's growing fastest — and often suffering most.
